Release Notes for Data Sprint 22.02

Introduction

The following list of new features, tasks and resolved bugs are included in the latest Sprint 22.02.01 release to FDW/FDE:

This feature is about allowing the FIPE data upload to accept range formats (i.e. Public and Narrow) so that data can be extracted either in public or narrow ranges.

This feature is about automating the export of FDW user details (e.g. name, email, last login, and permissions) into a Google Sheet (i.e. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Ul6qcnezqDCbGw7sGS3yjf2ui_rEqWAnH1Pry8_-amY/edit#gid=2047981754 )

This enhancement is about adding usage statistics information (i.e. Number of page views, Number of downloads, Domains they're extracting from and Most recent login ) to the aggregated_system_usage tab of the automated export of the FDW users' detail information (i.e. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Ul6qcnezqDCbGw7sGS3yjf2ui_rEqWAnH1Pry8_-amY/edit#gid=617154518).

This feature is about making changes to FDW in order to allow importing of data point values with up to 16 decimal places.

This enhancement is about making changes to the IPC Phase import functionality in order to allow the import of IPC V3.1.

This feature is about enabling the Export button functionality of the exchange rate data series (i.e. https://fdw.fews.net/en/admin/price/exchangerate/) for all groups of permission of the FDW. Previously this feature was enabled for only the superadmin user group.

This feature introduced functionality to FDW to automatically monitor and save articles from pre-determined news sources, and to generate short summaries and keywords for each article.

The news sources and the articles they produce in FDW are frequently published in languages other than English. In order to make it easier to use news sources, this feature adds functionality to automatically translate articles to English and store the translated text alongside the original.

This task was about moving the country Afghanistan to the remote monitoring countries.

There was an issue that prevents the January 2022 regional IPC packages from being posted on data center and this was resolved.
