The biggest change you’ll see with the latest release to the FEWS NET Data Explorer (FDE) is the ability to filter by active or inactive Data Series. We’ve also added two new country data books to the About Our Data section of the FDE Knowledge Base. Find out all the details below.

Data Series status filter

A new Data Series status filter is available for all applicable domains. This option allows you to filter for active or inactive Data Series. Inactive Data Series have been marked by a data manager as no longer receiving new data. In some cases, this is because a change in who is collecting the data or how the data is being collected warrants starting a new Data Series. At other times, a Data Series may be marked inactive because the data is no longer being collected.

New About Our Data pages

The About Our Data section of the FDE Knowledge Base has been updated with pages for two additional countries: Belize and Benin. These pages offer a wealth of information about the country context surrounding our data and data collection methodologies. Access the full list of available country data books here.

Recent bug fixes

The Clear sections button was not clearing the selected values of the Data Usage Policy filter of the Acute Food Insecurity Classifications Domain. The selected values can now be cleared from the filter box as expected.
