The FEWS NET Data Explorer (FDE) is growing! We've opened our doors for the public to request FDE accounts for the first time. Welcome to our new users!

While the latest release of the platform is largely focused on minor updates and improvements, we also have a few helpful features to highlight. Read on to learn how we've added visibility to the FDE tab in your browser through a new favicon, and how you can contribute to future updates through the Data Explorer Feature Request.

Usability fixes and updates

This month, we delivered more than 20 usability fixes and improvements to make the Data Explorer more reliable and to provide a smooth experience for a broader audience of users. We are continuing to make interacting with the platform faster, more dependable, and more enjoyable!

New favicon

The new FDE favicon makes it easy to identify the site among your tabs and bookmarks. If you are a user of multiple FEWS NET products, you’ll notice that the favicon fits seamlessly into a new favicon system that we’ve rolled out across our FEWS NET sites.

The new FDE favicon is shown in Google Chrome.

Data Explorer Feature Request Tracker

Our FDE product strategy is driven by our users' needs. We recently started development on multiple new features that will address requests we’ve received from users. You can view the status of these requests by checking out the Data Explorer Feature Request Tracker.

If you have an idea that isn’t on the board, please submit it through our Refreshed FDE User Feedback form. The form can be accessed at any time from the Support widget in the bottom right corner of the Data Explorer. We’re excited to read and respond to your feedback!
