A few notable changes to the FEWS NET Data Warehouse in the 23.03 release include a new field to indicate the owner of data, refined permissions, and updates to the Narrative Metadata admin screens. Read on to learn more about these improvements, plus recent fixes for user-reported bugs.

Maintainer information for data source documents

FDW can now collect information about the name of the organization maintaining a data source document, as well as a point of contact and contact information.

Updates to data collections access

The data collections users see is now filtered by the collect_datasourcedocument permission, which reflects the source documents for which users have rights to collect data.

The collect_datasourcedocument permission reflects permission owners via group membership.

Enhancements to flexible narrative metadata

The Narrative Metadata list view can now be filtered by Narrative Metadata Type and Content Type as well as Object ID. You can also conduct a search for the Object ID. A Content Object field has been added to the list view and details screen.

Bug fixes

This release includes fixes for the following issues reported by users:

  • An issue causing incorrect availability data in extracts

  • The Geographic Unit dropdown was not visible and trying to add data resulted in a 500 error

  • No labels
