The following list of new features, updates and bug fixes are included in the latest Sprint 22.05 release to FDW/FDE.
New Features
Draft metadata documentation available in Price, Crop, and Trade domains
Users can now utilize the FEWS NET data platform API to access metadata definitions and details corresponding to their data extract in the Price, Crop, and Trade domains. To access, add the word metadata to your API call link between the endpoint and parameters. For example:
If your API call is:
/api/marketpricefacts/?dataseries=2567202&format=html
You can call metadata definitions using:
/api/marketpricefacts/metadata/?dataseries=2567202&format=html
This information can be accessed in html, PDF, or JSON formats.

Coming soon: This work is being expanded to include updates to metadata definitions, additional domains, and the ability to access metadata definitions from a tab within the FDE.
Updates
Include IPC 3.1 in FDE classification scales filter (DATA-1386)
In the IPC FIC domain of the FDE, users now have the option of choosing IPC v3.1 in the scale filter dropdown. [ADD SCREENSHOT]
Edits to FDE Spatial Domain Export and Options tabs (DATA-1516)
In the Spatial domain of the FDE, there was an option under the Export tab to Please select the FSZ attributes you would like to include. It has been moved to the Options tab and now reads Include shapefile attributes? Selecting yes for this option will include all attributes associated with the original shapefile (e.g., ADMIN0, ADMIN1, lzname, lzcode) This is an update to the feature requested in DATA-1073. Replace the "Email Support" Link on FDE and FDW with Link to Helpdesk Portal (DATA-1530)
In the FDW and FDE, under Help, the link to contact the Helpdesk has changed from Mail us: helpdesk@fews.net to a Helpdesk Support menu item that links to the Helpdesk Portal.
Bug Fixes
Population extracts in FDE spatial domain do not support demography year parameter (DATA-1517)
In the spatial domain of the FDE, the option to choose a population year for population and demography estimates was not working correctly. This issue has been fixed.
Failure in FAO Ingestion Pipeline (DATA-1518)
An update was recently made so that when fetching data from web services, if there is a failure in one document due to unmatched metadata, other documents from that web service can still successfully pull data. This update was not working correctly and has been fixed.
FDE appends `fields=simple` to spatial data requests that have `fields=with_population` (DATA-1527)
Exports for population estimates in the FDE spatial domain were not working correctly. When the Population Data option in the Options tab was set to include population estimates, the export contained geographic information only. This issue has been fixed and downloads are working correctly.
