The following updates to crop data have been made in the FEWS NET Data Warehouse as of November 22, 2024 and are now reflected in the FEWS NET Data Explorer and API extracts.

Afghanistan

The historical time series for Afghanistan has been updated with new crops and additional years. An alternate Dataset extends coverage for wheat to 2003 (CROP-65).

Bangladesh

Bangladesh historical data have been uploaded for many crops from 2008-2022, and for select crops 1982-2022 (CROP-72).

Somalia

The existing data for Somalia was updated, including updates to the harvest year of some entries. Additional data have been added to the Crop Production Statistics as well (CROP-27).

Change release date: August 26, 2024.

Sudan

Sudan data have been updated, including a change to how the permanent agricultural schemes in Sudan are coded. They are now identified using unique FNIDs (CROP-69).
