The biggest change you’ll notice in the latest release to the FEWS NET Data Explorer (FDE) is that your search criteria is now retained even if you reload or navigate away from a domain page. We’ve also implemented fixes for the data series selection functionality and created default permissions for new Google single sign-on (SSO) accounts. Plus, this month’s how to video takes a closer look at the options for interacting with charts and maps.
Global Updates
Retained Search Criteria
All FDE domain pages now retain your most recent search criteria between visits to FDE, as well as when you refresh a page or move between pages. You can pick up right where you left off without having to reenter your search terms or reselect filters.
If at any time you’d like to clear your search criteria, select the Reset Search button.
Bug Fixes
The latest release includes two fixes that correct the behavior of data series selection:
An issue with using the Select All button for a large number of data series has been fixed so that the data series can be selected as expected.
We’ve corrected the behavior of de-selecting all data series in the Selected and This Search tabs.
We’ve also corrected the default permissions for new Google Single Sign-On accounts to ensure new users can immediately access the public domains.
