As part of the latest updates to the FEWS NET Data Explorer (FDE), we’ve adjusted our built-in tour to automatically launch for new users, and made it possible to view large numbers of results directly from the dataseries table. We’ve also laid the groundwork for exciting new features that will customize your experience of the FDE. Read on to learn more.

Built-in tour updates

The built-in tour of the FDE now launches automatically when new users first log in to the platform, offering a brief overview of its layout and functionality. The tour will also launch to highlight and explain new features as they are released. 

Improved dataseries table

Pagination has been added to the FDE dataseries table to improve the loading of results. There is no longer a limit on how many results will load in the dataseries table, allowing you to scroll through a large number of results without the need to add filters. 

Preparing customized user experiences 

Work is underway to personalize your use of the FDE through new features and user preferences. Planned features include additional ways to visualize data as well as convenient access to saved datasets. Stay tuned for more details in a future release!
