The following list of new features, updates and bug fixes are included in the latest Sprint 22.04 release to FDW/FDE.
New Features
New Food Security Classification file types available for download from fews.net (DATA-1369)
Visitors to the fews.net data center can now download Food Security Classification files in KML and GeoJSON formats in addition to the shapefiles and PNG files that were already available. This option is currently available only for new files (March - September 2022), not historic files.
Updates
Import Dependency dashboard updates
The Import Dependency dashboard now offers multiple options for the x-axis. In addition to HDI, users can choose to plot according to two SDG indictors: percent of population below national poverty line and percent prevalence of undernourishment.
In addition, two new visualizations have been added to the dashboard. The first graph shows time series of imports for a selected destination country. The second compares the percentage split between the different source countries across destination countries.
A bug has also been fixed so that selected countries do not reset when a new product is selected.
This update includes the following Jira issues:
Create TradeFlowQuantityValueFactsViewSet (DATA-1431)
A new API endpoint,
/api/tradeflowquantityvaluefacts/
, was added that allows trade flow quantity data points to be viewed with associated statistics.
Imports and uploads moved to the Data Entry menu (DATA-1445)
In the FDW, the Data Point Import screens (previously under Data Series Management > Imports) and the offline Data Uploads screen (previously under Metadata Management > Warehouse) were both moved to the Data Entry menu. This menu now has three options: Add a new Data Collection, Import Data Points, and Offline Data Uploads.
Adding Angola as an RM country (DATA-1500)
Angola has been added to the data platform as a remote monitoring country.
Bug Fixes
Enable caching for IPC shape files (DATA-1425)
Caching of IPC shapefiles was disabled after a previous change and has now been re-enabled.
Fix dataset parameter and standard visualizations rendering (DATA-1536)
Visualizations in the FDW Price Charts dashboard were not rendering correctly for all data. This issue has been fixed.
